But the women who hold a room have stopped playing that game. They dress with intention. Every piece earns its place. What they wear says something about them before they have spoken. Yet for so many women, getting dressed still feels harder than it should for a woman who has everything else figured out. Alexandra Standley has spent the last seven years unpicking why. A former global fashion buyer for M&S and Amazon, Alex now helps women reconnect with who they are and build a style to match, drawing on tools like Human Design and astrology to explore why some styles feel true and others never quite land. Because style was never meant to be another item on your list of things to do. It can be creative, playful, expressive, and a way back to yourself. This event brings that thinking into the room for one evening of Sustainable Fashion Week. Co hosted at Hart Hotel by Alex and Michelle de Klerk, founder of The Women's Chapter, a B Corp community of women leaders. Joined by three founders behind brands featured in the edit, all members of The Women's Chapter, for an interactive panel: Claire Burrows, founder of shoe brand Air and Grace Paige Mengers, founder of preloved platform Phoenix Style Priya Downes, founder of B Corp underwear and loungewear brand Nudea Together they explore with Alex, the stories behind the brands, the clothes we choose to keep, and the identities we express through what we wear.
